Smart refill system for sustainable water consumption
Urban Hostel Palma is a hostel aimed at young people, located in Palma de Mallorca. The goal is to offer social and sustainable stays. For this reason, the building is committed to the environment through energy efficiency.
To this end, it was necessary to develop and validate a smart osmosis-based water refill system, capable of integrating digital functionalities such as usage control, traceability and payment systems. In addition, the solution had to be scalable and adaptable for future implementation in other environments in the tourism and urban sectors.
To carry out this project, we developed a smart osmosis water refill system based on Awayter Refill. Its implementation reduces single-use packaging and promotes reusable packaging with integrated digital technology.
Traceability and data tracking system, which allows real-time monitoring of system usage, identifying behavioral patterns and areas for improvement.
Integration of access via QR code that facilitates users' quick identification and activation of the service from their mobile devices.
Validation of the model in a real hospitality environment, generating relevant data to optimize the experience of the user and minimize environmental impact.
Thanks to the platform, the hostel can accurately quantify the environmental impact: savings in waste, reduction of the environmental footprint, etc.
